This woven sculpture was made with a variety of found materials, in a variety of whimsical locations. Old cotton shirts, hession and doilies were torn and fixed to a wire structure while I sat cross-legged on the cold table of the sixth floor of building C, or while the mid-day train sped through Oakleigh into Dandenong. It was made in a series of responses to the structure and spaces of nests in relation to the attitudes and situations of individuals within or outside of a community.
